Radio Program N 2

After listening to the radio program, my thoughts were not so clear. While listening to all the information about the issue, my mind changed constantly on which was my definite posture, I was not sure if I was against or in favor of implanting stem cells in humans in order to help people with different kind of illnesses.
On one hand, I think this new discoverment is a huge advance for science, and its contribution to people that are enable to talk, could be very important in the future. If this process of repairing old and useless cells into new and normal ones again happens is proved to work in humans, we are in presence of an incredible and amazing discovery.
But on the other hand, the way they get the steam cells goes against life, it kills the embryos so you can never say this is ethic. Although a person has an important illness or is not able to walk, I am not in favor of taking off life for this purpose. The life of a person comes before of the cure of an illness.
In conclusion I think it is absolutely necessary for the United States government to revise with extreme caution this current problem and then after considering all the points against or in favor of the matter, they should then take the decision to subside the laboratory or not, depending on the decision.

Radio Program

The previous weeek we heard a radio program that was about technology and its impact on a company and on regular families and people in the United States. The results were positive and negative in relation to how it changes people's lives. I will explain and analyze the results of this impact in the next paragraphs.
The use of technology has increased a lot in the last years, specially in the United States. Nowadays companies cannot function properly and with efficiency if it is not with the help of technology. All their employees are in touch with it every day while they do their work. I think companies are very intelligent to use technology in excess because the more they use it the better they will achieve their objectives. It is important for them to give their employees the chance to work with it whenever they want at any time they want. For example, the best buy experiment results were positive.The people who worked for the company couldn't give up working. The experiment consisted on letting the people who worked in a company work wherever they wanted as long as they did their work well. And the results were even better than when they worked in the company. This shows us how people can't stop using technology never mind where they are, and that thanks to technology we don't mind working anymore because everything is easier with it.
Regarding the amount of hours per week a regular citizen in the United States works, the results are really high. This explains us how important it is for a country to have people who work hard to be able to develop and how technology makes people want to work due to the enormous help that it means.
In relation with technology in communication, the bad consequences appear. It is true that technology allows you to communicate with any person whenever you want through e-mail, chat or by phone. But as in the radio program, the abuse of technology is as bad as the lack of it. For example, a couple was practically all day multitasking until the point they didn’t talk between them anymore. It’s amazing to see how it can distort the face to face interaction in a family or couple. You can lose all sense of physical communication if you use technology in excess. Another example is about a person who installed technology gadgets (phones, computers, etc) all over his house so he would never waste time and did his job more effectively. He would be talking by phone even when he was taking a bath!
As a conclusion, on one hand technology opens new horizons to people and companies, in terms of communication or the development a country will have if they use technology. But on the other hand, an excess in the use of it can lead to several problems such as the disappearance of oral communication between people and workalcohlism too.

The World

Nowadays, much is said about the universe and what is it going to become in the future, how long it will resist the constant bad behaivour it recieves from human beings and what will become of us also. The principal cause of its damage is pollution. The First World countries are the principals causers of the destruction of the universe. They are producing all the time, so they don't care about the environment and pollute it in an ilimited way. They need to mantain their economy equilibrated so developed countries can't stop their production.
"Global Warming" is increasing every day and bringuing new consequences to the earth. Weather is changing every year. Summer is hotter and winter too. This affects the daily life of people and will be even worse in the future. The poles are melting and the oceans are filling up with water which are provoquing floods all over the world. So something must be done, extreme measures are need to be taken with urgency if we want to continue living this life as we all know it.

Holidays

I usually go to holidays to the beach. I prefer the beach, the city than the mountains or the snow. I find it more comfortable to be without so many clothes, just a t-shirt and a short, not a lot of clothes on to protect you from the cold. They are heavy and don't look so good. I also enjoy a lot swimming in the sea with those huge and strong waves that hit you in your face and can be very dangerous too. I once swam so far away that I nearly didn't come back, I was really frightened and until today I don't know how I managed to come back to land. But I like taking risks so I don't regret having done such a dangerous thing. It is also true that the heat and the sun can bother you, along with the wind and the cold at night, but I personally don't really care at all for that.

Technology

In the last decade, technology has advanced extremely fast and people all over the world use the new advances very fast too. In the US, practically every regular citizen has a computer in his house, and every year the quantity of computers in each house increases. Besides the need, US citizens make an abuse of the use of technology which leads to the distortion of communication in a family. They almost don't talk between them because they are always busy working, surfing the web, chating, checking or sending e-mails. They even send instant messages to each other when they are in the same room instead of just say or shout it. I think people can't manage technology and its constant growth, so they don't measure the amount of it they use every day. This brings very bad consequences in terms of the relation between the members of a family that don't communicate at all and loose all sense of normal connection.

My dream

I always thougth which was my dream. I once said it was to fly but that is imposible.The second was to be the President of Argentina but that was even more imposible. So I got to the conclusion that being a profesional football player was my dream. It is what I enjoy most: playing football. I think there isn't a better profession. You don't fight with anybody, you only play and much better if you defend the colours of your team. Of course that you suffer a lot and have a lot of pressures but it is what you like, what you have done since you were a child with your friends and you even get Paid!!!!!!!!!!. So I repeat: being a profesional football player is the best job you can have, although you have to work on sundays................

Trip

Last year I went on a trip to Africa. It was the wildest thing I made in my hole life. I went with a friend to South Africa an lots of other countries. We went by plain and slept in tents. They were 30 days of sufferment and also of an incredible experience. We didn't have much to eat and the weather was very hot during the day and quite cold at night. We explored every little space of the each country we visited. We met very kind people from all over the world who help us in our adventures. After seeing the poberty and the lack of development of the country I can love my country a lot more, altough it isn't what I want it to be. In Africa there are a lot of people with out homes and jobs. They suffer from all the basics necesities and are incredibly poor. I think something important needs to be done in this continent to improve the poblation situation. They need help so we should be more concious of their huge problem.
